We spent quite a lot of time skiing this spring after buying new touring skis in January- with varying degrees of success. We had a snowy week in the van in February where we attempted to follow the best conditions.
A quick wander up towards Coire Ardair on Creag Meagaidh. We were on our way to an OMC meet at Milehouse. On Friday we climbed Bynack Mor, on Saturday visited Ruigh Aitcheachan bothy, and on Sunday I climbed Hidden Chimney in Coire an-t Sneachda with Colin B. I was more than a little pleased at my recovery from the skiing injury.
Skiing at Glenshee with Mhairi and Nigel. I was getting on really well with my new touring boots. Unfortunately, in a reversal of roles, Mhairi took a tumble. The injury was later diagnosed as a hairline fracture of the sternum. Ouch. Mhairi rested in the van, Nigel went off touring, and I too this photo of empty midweek pistes while doing some laps.
