This is a photoblog of our trip to Sgurr an Fhurainn south of the loch, then back across to the north shore of the remote western end to camp before heading to Sgurr a’ Choire Bheithe.
.After a break and a bite at the dam at the west end of Loch Cuaich, we headed eastward on the south shore. There we were surprised to discover a big flat road beneath the grass, presumably built to bring in supplies and machinery during the building of the dam and its attendant hydro paraphernalia. This led us speedily back to within two hundred metres of our campsite where it turned downhill and disappeared underwater. We'd have enough time to paddle out before nightfall!
