We were up at Braemar in the van for our wedding anniversary, but were too lazy for any mountain adventures; then the following weekend we were at the OMC cottage "winter climbing" meet. Conditions were poor, so we contented ourselves with an ascent of Beinn Mhic Mhonaidh and a low-level walk.
Mhairi managed a midweek walk up Craig Mac Rannaich, then we were back in the Southern Highlands, later in the month, when parked up in Glen Orchy and climbed Bein Bhreac-liath. Planned winter climbing on Udlaidh or Dothaidh just didn't happen.
So, overall a slightly frustrating month, but lack of climbing was compensated for by great gigs at Celtic Connections. Here's hoping for good nick in the coming weeks.
